There is no need of any kind of introduction for Cellular Jail, once the dark colour symbol of colonialism and Indian freedom struggle. A replica of mishaps was this jail and it still echoes the cries of those who had fought with the British people to gain complete freedom and live in a free India. Cellular Jail was known as Kala Pani and since the location of the jail was in Andaman, there were less chances to escape the jail and come back to the shore.
But now, this is a representation of the turmoil Indian freedom fighters have experienced. Tourists from all over the world come to visit Cellular Jail during their tour of Andaman. The huge buildings with multiple cells and towering walls are really strong. There are seven wings inside and all the wings are connected to a central tower where the British army men used to keep watching the prisoners from.
